Independent Living State Grants for Individuals with Disabilities

Program Description
The independent living program provides financial assistance to expand and improve independent living services; develop and support statewide networks of centers for independent living, and improve working relationships among state independent living rehabilitation programs, state independent living councils, and centers for independent living.

General Program Requirements
Grants are awarded to eligible entities for planning, conducting, administering, and evaluating centers.Eligible entities are consumer controlled, community-based cross-disability, nonresidential private agencies or bordering on State in which the entities plans to establish a center(s).
