Program Description
The National Center of Physical Activity and Disability (NCPAD) is an on-line resource for research and practice information in the area of health promotion and physical activity for persons with disabilities. The goal of NCPAD is to help reduce the incidence of secondary conditions and improve the overall quality of life for persons with disabilities through promotion of higher levels of physical activity and healthy lifestyles. Developed as a cooperative agreement between the University of Illinois at Chicago and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), NCPAD collects, organizes, and synthesizes information to inform consumers, guide practitioners, facilitate development of best practices, and foster future research.

General Program Requirements
This program provides information about physical activity and recreation for people with disabilities and does not distribute monetary benefits. This information is accessible to all.
