National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program

Program Description
The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program is a Federal "no-fault" system designed to compensate individuals, or families of individuals, who have been injured by childhood vaccines, whether administered in the private or public sector. This Program covers all vaccines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for routine administration to children. The vaccines currently covered include: diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (DTP, DTaP, DT, TT or Td), measles, mumps, rubella (MMR or any components), polio (OPV or IPV), hepatitis B, haemophilus influenza type b (Hib), varicella, rotavirus, and pneumococcal conjugate.

General Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you or your family/household members must be suffering from an injury or illness caused by a vaccine.
