Delaware Special Milk Program
Program Description
The CACFP is a meal reimbursement program, administered in Delaware by the Department of Education and funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Nutrition Service (FNS). The CACFP serves children and certain adults.
General Program Requirements
Any child in a school or institution that participates in the Special Milk Program can get milk. Schools may elect to offer free milk to low-income children. In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the State of Delaware, your household's annual income before taxes must not exceed $12,103 if one person lives in the household; $16,237 if two people live in the household; $20,371 if three people live in the household; $24,505 if four people live in the household; $28,639 if five people live in the household; $32,773 if six people live in the household; $36,907 if seven people live in the household. For larger households, add $4,134 for each additional person in the home.
