Minnesota General Assistance Medical Care
Program Description
Minnesota's General Assistance Medical Care program provides health care coverage to adults without dependent children who have very low income. Covered services include doctor visits, hospitalization, prescriptions, eye exams, and more.
Because of different calculation methods, the income limits listed here may be slightly different than the actual income figures used by Minnesota. Please contact us for more information on the program.
General Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the State of Minnesota, a US national, citizen, legal alien, or permanent resident in need of health care/insurance assistance, and you must have an annual household income below $6,736 for one person in the household or below $9,091 for two persons in the household. You must also be between the ages of 21 and 64 with no dependent children, and you must not be eligible for any other state or federal medical program (including Medicaid).
