Services for Persons Living with HIV/AIDS (Ryan White CARE Act)
Program Description
The Ryan White CARE Act funds primary care and support services for individuals living with HIV disease who lack sufficient health insurance and financial resources for their care. Services are provided through State and local government health departments, university medical centers, as well as through public or non-profit faith-based and community-based providers.
The Federal government establishes general guidelines for the administration of these services. However, specific eligibility requirements to receive benefits, as well as the type and scope of services provided, are determined by each individual participating State or jurisdiction. You must check with the office in the state you live in to confirm your eligibility to receive benefits.
