Mississippi Weatherization Assistance Program
Program Description
The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) funds are used to improve the conditions of eligible low-income clients' homes. The program is designed to reduce home heating and cooling costs by improving energy efficiency and ensuring health and safety. Priority is given to low-income elderly and disabled individuals.
General Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the State of Mississippi, your household's annual income before taxes must not exceed $11,638 if one person lives in the household; $15,613 if two people live in the household; $19,588 if three people live in the household; $23,563 if four people live in the household; $27,538 if five people live in the household; $31,513 if six people live in the household; $35,488 if seven people live in the household; and $39,463 if more than seven people live in the household.
