New York Weatherization Assistance Program

Program Description
Weatherization Services reduces the amount of energy required to heat homes and provide hot water. The majority of homes in New York State were built when energy was relatively inexpensive. These homes are significantly more costly to heat than a newer energy-efficient home.

General Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the State of New York, you must need financial assistance for home energy costs and your household's annual income before taxes must not exceed $20,747 if one person lives in the household; $27,131 if two people live in the household; $33,515 if three people live in the household; $39,899 if four people live in the household; $46,283 if five people live in the household; $52,667 if six people live in the household, or $53,864 if seven people live in the household. For larger households, add $1,197 for each additional person in the home.
