Virginia Weatherization Assistance Program
Program Description
The Weatherization Assistance Program provides funds to reduce the heating and cooling costs for low-income families and to ensure their health and safety. The services are for low-income households, particularly for the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and families with children. The program is administered by the Department of Housing and Community Development.
General Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the State of Virginia and your household's annual income before taxes must not exceed $12,103 if one person lives in the household; $16,237 if two people live in the household; $20,371 if three people live in the household; $24,505 if four people live in the household; $28,639 if five people live in the household; $32,773 if six people live in the household; $36,907 if seven people live in the household; and $41,041 if more than seven people live in the household.
