Arizona Weatherization Assistance Program
Program Description
The Weatherization Assistance Program was established to help low-income families and individuals decrease their home energy costs and to be attentive to energy-related health and safety issues in the home. The Arizona Department of Commerce Energy Office is the managing agency for the Weatherization Assistance Program. More than 16,500 of Arizona's low-income households have been provided with weatherization assistance services since the program's inception in 1977. Arizona's current annual funding allocation is approximately $2.5 million.
General Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the State of Arizona and your household's annual income before taxes must not exceed $11,638 if one person lives in the household; $15,613 if two people live in the household; $19,588 if three people live in the household; $23,563 if four people live in the household; $27,538 if five people live in the household; $31,513 if six people live in the household; $35,488 if seven people live in the household; and $39,463 if more than seven people live in the household.
