Minnesota Energy Assistance Program
Program Description
The Minnesota Energy Assistance program provides assistance to low-income households in meeting their home energy costs, particularly those with the lowest incomes that pay a high proportion of household income for home energy.
General Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the State of Minnesota, you must need financial assistance for home energy costs and your household's annual income before taxes must not exceed $18,885 if one person lives in the household; $24,696 if two people live in the household; $30,507 if three people live in the household; $36,318 if four people live in the household; $42,129 if five people live in the household; $47,940 if six people live in the household, or $49,029 if seven people live in the household. For larger households, add $1,089 for each additional person in the home.
