Oklahoma Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
Program Description
The Oklahoma Department of Human Services, in cooperation with the Federal government, provides seasonal assistance to low-income households to assist with winter heating bills, and to provide help for some families who have received utility cut-off notices.
General Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of Oklahoma, you must need financial assistance for home energy costs and your household's annual income before taxes must not exceed $10,241 if one person lives in the household; $13,739 if two people live in the household; $17,237 if three people live in the household; $20,735 if four people live in the household; $24,233 if five people live in the household; $27,731 if six people live in the household, $31,229 if seven people live in the household; or $34,727 if eight people live in the household. For larger households, add $3,498 for each additional person in the home.
