A Program To Help Criminals Turn Over A New Leaf
A chance for convicted felons to rejoin society
Convicts, prisoners, jailbirds… Whatever you may want to call them, they deserve to be given a second chance to redeem themselves.
Because many of our fellow lost souls lack the guidance to exercise better judgment, the government has devised a program that will help ex-convicts readjust to society as best they can. This program, called ‘Life Skills,’ funds various facilities that focus on honing the character and skills of the convicted in order to mold them into better individuals upon release from prison. Available services include:
- Job, financial, and communication skill training
- Re-education
- Stress and anger management
- Interpersonal skill and personal development
- Family relationship development
Other information is available at www.ed.gov/programs/lifeskills/index.html or by calling 202-245-6592.
