Cut Down Energy Consumption Costs In Rural Areas
Get regulated total energy usage for your household
If you’ve been experiencing headaches due to energy bills, the government might be able to help you with their ‘High Energy Cost Grant’ program. Let’s face it, we can’t completely account for the amount of energy we use in a month.
The program provides financial support to energy generation, distribution, and transmission facilities that serve rural communities. Energy types like electricity, natural gas, fuel oil, and LPG or propane are fully accounted.
To be eligible, communities served must achieve at least 275% of the Rural Utilities Service (RUS) national average high energy cost benchmark. Eligible entities to apply are legally-organized groups that are either for-profit or non-profit like corporations and partnerships, sole proprietorships, State or local government agencies, federally-recognized tribes and tribe organizations, and U.S. individuals or groups.
The deadline for application is on March 28, 2008.
