Reunite With Lost And Runaway Children
Strengthen your ties with your children and keep them for good
According to statistics, about 90% of homeless and runaway children are caused by tremendous domestic problems, usually as a result of a permanent loss of at least one of their parents.
The Basic Center program not only tries to re-link homeless and runaway kids with their respective folks, but also administers counseling services that allow child-parent bonds to grow stronger as well as help children develop a positive course of action for their future.
The program is required to offer temporary shelter for up to 15 days, apart from food, clothing, individual and family counseling, aftercare, and referrals — if necessary. Basic Centers accommodate 20 of these children at a time, but may exceed if given the ‘go’ signal and compliance requirements by the local law. The program provides these services to kids who are less than 18 and faced with family separation.
Qualified applicants are States, localities, private entities, coordinated networks, federally-recognized tribal organizations, and private non-profit agencies, with proof of being non-profit.
An estimated amount of $1,661,000 will be funded to this program on 2008.
