Seniors Can Get Free Tax Advice
Get full IRS support in taxes when you avail of this program
Tax trouble? The IRS can help you. Seniors can get free tax assistance from the ‘Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE)’ program. You will be aided by trained volunteers affiliated with non-profit organizations in dealing with your income tax returns.
The IRS Code 501, which is applied to private or non-government non-profit agencies upon agreement, exempts these organizations and gives grant money to help training and educating the elderly with their future income tax returns. The grant money reimburses volunteers’ meal and transportation expenses incurred when performing consulting services for seniors.
Beneficiaries must be at least 60 years old, U.S. citizens who are low or middle-income.
