Stimulus Checks for Low-Income Americans!

While people from all corners of the United States are cheering up because of the stimulus checks in their mail, a lot of other Americans will have to get by without receiving any money from the government. But a lot of individuals who don't receive their stimulus payments aren’t even aware that the government owes them money!

For instance, thousands of Americans think that they won’t be getting any stimulus checks, mostly because their income isn’t high enough for filing a tax return. Unknown to many low-income individuals, however, they don’t have to file their taxes to get free money from the government! According to the economic stimulus law, low-income workers with at least $3,000 in qualified income are actually eligible for stimulus payments. Parents can even get $300 for each of their kids under the age of 17, depending on how much the household earns every year.

Besides the $300 income requirement, applicants must also have valid Social Security numbers to their name. An applicant can’t also be claimed as a dependent on another taxpayer’s file if he wishes to be considered for stimulus payments.

The government also keeps other doors open to people who don’t normally file tax returns, such as seniors who are already retired or those who receive benefits from Veterans Affairs.
